Filipina idol Gehlee Dangca has shared a raw reaction to the news that her group UNIS will end official activities on September 26. “It really hurts my heart,” she said, capturing the bittersweet close of a short but intense chapter for the eight-member act.
UNIS formed through the 2023 SBS survival show Universe Ticket and debuted on March 27, 2024, with the mini album WE Unis and title track “Superwoman.” The lineup includes two full Filipinas Gehlee, from Las Piñas, and Elisia Parmisano plus Filipino-Korean leader Hyeonju, Japanese members Nana and Kotoko, and Korean members Yunha, Yoona, and Seowon. Over two and a half years they released follow-ups like Swicy, scored a music-show win, dropped a Japanese mini album in July 2026, headlined a Manila festival, and completed a 14-city Americas tour.
A recent remake climbed Melon charts, and their farewell digital single “Milky Way” arrived September 23, just three days before the contract with F&F Entertainment expires. The agency and members chose to honor the original term rather than extend.
Online, EverAfters responded with an outpouring of emotion. Many posted clips of the farewell track alongside messages of pride in the group’s global push and quiet hope that Gehlee, Elisia, and the others will keep chasing solo paths.
Fan accounts shared old stage fancams and simple notes of gratitude for the “miracle-like journey,” while others admitted the abrupt timing still stings.
