ALPHA DRIVE ONE walked away with another first-place trophy on Wednesday when “BORN DIRE” took the win on MBC M’s Show Champion. The victory marks the second music-show win for the title track from their second mini album UNBREAKABLE : 少年BEAST and brings the group’s overall trophy count to six since their January debut. The eight-member group, formed on Mnet’s Boys II Planet and managed by WakeOne, released the album on August 24. The project leans into a raw, high-energy concept that reworks British rave and punk influences into a modern K-pop sound.

“BORN DIRE” itself features aggressive breakbeats, distorted synths, and choreography developed with global dancers, including members of the award-winning crew The Stories. The music video, shot with a large performance cast, has drawn tens of millions of views. The album also includes the softer “Diamond Hour,” the earlier track “OMG!,” and “Welcome Home,” the first song on which most members contributed lyrics. For international fans following the group’s rapid rise, a few details often get less attention on Korean sites.

ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s debut mini album Euphoria sold more than 1.44 million copies in its first week and earned them a clean sweep of the major terrestrial music shows with “Freak Alarm” a rare achievement for a rookie act. They have since expanded into Japan, where the new album reached No. 2 on the Oricon daily chart, and secured partnerships that include a U.S. physical release planned for early October. Upcoming schedule points include the SPOTV K-Pop Awards on September 6 and The Fact Music Awards later in the month. Members such as Xinlong (from Boy Story) and Arno have drawn particular notice in fan posts celebrating the latest win.

Online reaction has been swift and warm. Fan accounts and chart trackers across X quickly shared the result with the hashtags #BORNDIRE2ndWin and #ALPHADRIVEONE6thWin, posting performance clips and congratulatory messages directed at the group and the fandom ALLYZ.

Many highlighted the short gap between the first win on The Show the day before and this second trophy, calling it proof of steady fan support and strong chart numbers since the August 24 release. Members have publicly thanked ALLYZ in recent posts, underscoring the role of coordinated streaming and voting in the early comeback wins.

The group continues music-show promotions while balancing awards-show appearances. With two trophies already secured for “BORN DIRE” and a clear schedule of international dates ahead, ALPHA DRIVE ONE is turning a strong debut year into sustained momentum.
