HYBE’s newest girl group TUIDE has revealed the title track for its first mini album. Label ABD confirmed the song is called “SUN KISS.” The group’s promotional schedule, posted on official SNS on August 5, shows music video teasers dropping August 20 and 22, followed by the full album TUNE & PLAY and music video on August 24 at 6 p.m. KST.
The album concept centers on blending different musical languages into one rhythm (“TUNE”) while amplifying the fun found inside that process (“PLAY”). TUIDE’s name itself comes from “Tune the Tide,” signaling the group’s aim to adjust and reshape cultural currents into something fresh.
TUIDE is the first act from ABD, HYBE’s new girl-group-focused label launched earlier this year under the slogan “A Bold Dream.” The seven members Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seah, and Yi Hani were born between 2006 and 2011 and bring mixed backgrounds from South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan. Veteran producer Han Sung-soo, known for shaping SEVENTEEN, After School, IZ*ONE, and TWS, oversees the project. Member Seoyeon has drawn extra notice as the younger sister of TWICE’s Jihyo. The group already held a two-day pre-debut showcase in Seoul on August 1–2, performing the entire album for a limited audience before any official release.
