JYP Entertainment’s new girl group OURBIRTHDAY has wrapped its pre-debut phase and publicly revealed its complete seven-member lineup for the first time. On August 4 the group dropped an introduction film titled “[SYSTEM] CONNECTION ESTABLISHED.” The video shows Side A and Side B members, previously active in separate units, recognizing each other across different spaces before connecting.
Confetti erupts as the full group appears one by one, ending with the members walking out a doorway to signal a fresh start. The film marks the end of their split activities and builds anticipation for their music and performance as a single unit. Several members already carried recognition from survival shows: Cho Hye-jin won KBS’s “The Ddanddara,” Shin Hye-won appeared on “R U Next?,” and U competed on both “Universe Ticket” and “The Ddanddara.” The name itself carries a simple idea treating every ordinary day with the free, celebratory energy of a birthday.
Pre-debut tracks “HUNGRY (Side A)” and “HUNGRY (Side B)” let the two units introduce themselves on music shows before this full-group reveal.
