F&F Entertainment confirmed today that the multinational girl group UNIS will conclude official activities as a full unit when their exclusive management contracts expire on September 26. The eight members Hyeonju, Nana, Gehlee, Kotoko, Yunha, Elisia, Yoona, and Seowon debuted in March 2024 after forming through SBS’s Universe Ticket. The agency and members held ongoing talks about the fixed two-year-and-six-month project term and future plans. Both sides agreed to stick to the original schedule rather than extend group promotions. F&F thanked the members for their commitment and said it will support each of them individually going forward. The company also asked fans, known as EverAfter, to keep cheering the women on as they move into the next phase of their careers.

UNIS launched with the mini album We UNIS and later released SWICY, several digital singles, and a first Japanese mini album, UNI☆Sparkle!, in July 2026. This year the group completed a 14-city Americas tour that began in Philadelphia, performed at festivals in Manila and Sydney, and issued Japanese tracks that charted on USEN. Just two weeks ago their remake of the 1997 song “Haneulttang Byeolttang” (Sky Land, Star Land) marked a career high, climbing from outside Melon’s daily top 1,000 into the 400s. Tomorrow, September 23, they drop the new digital single “Milky Way,” with music-show promotions already planned. For global fans who followed the survival show and the international lineup four Korean members, two Japanese, and two Filipina the short but packed timeline explains why the group felt both fresh and fully formed so quickly.
Online reactions mixed sadness with gratitude. Many EverAfters noted the timing right after the group’s strongest domestic chart moment and on the eve of a new release and said they will continue supporting the members individually. Others expressed quiet disappointment that a formal farewell concert never materialized, while still praising the hard work that produced stages, tours, and a late-career chart bump in such a compressed window.
The agency’s statement closed by calling the shared journey “akin to a miracle,” a line fans have already begun quoting as they process the news.
